Hello, My name is Andrew Seel. I am a freshman at Emory College. I was born in London and have lived in London, Shanghai, Connecticut and currently in Atlanta.

I started learning violin at age 5 and piano at age 6. I have participated in a large number of recitals, festivals and competitions in recent years (see Award page). Comments from the judges of Greenwich Symphony Orchestra Teen Talent Contest include:”very expressive performance, great showing of melody, real command in your performance”.

As a violinist, I was a member of Norwalk Youth Symphony from 2017 to 2024. I played first violin in its Principal Orchestra in the most recent three years and was concertmaster of its Concert Orchestra in spring 2021 and deputy Concertmaster in fall 2019. My ensemble work also includes performing in the Elm City Chamber Festival in New Haven in 2019, accompanying Midori on harpsichord for the United Nations Youth Day in September 2021 and performing as lead violinist in the 2021 and 2022 Christmas concerts of the Chamber Music Institute of Darien, Connecticut.
Besides my love of music, I have a passion for soccer. I was a starter on my high school’s varsity team since sophomore year. As the only left-footed player, I had a key role in defending, moving the ball up field and passing to the attackers. I helped my team to win FAA league championship in 2023. I am currently the co-captain of the recreational soccer team at Emory University.
